Notably, the fourth anniversary of New Zealand’s worst-ever mass shooting passed without any public commemoration by the Labour Party-led government. In the days following the attack tens of thousands attended vigils in solidarity with the victims and against racist violence and terror in New Zealand, Australia and many other countries.
